Privacy

The app

• There is no Maths Paw account and no email sign-up.
• The app supports one child per device. Your child’s optional nickname, selected age, maths interests, lessons, attempts, assistance history, review confidence, investigation records, stars and completion rewards stay on the device. The app does not send those preferences or learning records to the developer. It does not ask for a birth date.
• There are no ads, no analytics SDK, and no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
• Lessons and labs are stored in the installed app and work without a network connection. There is no chat tutor. Lesson text is not sent to the developer or to an online service.
• Read-aloud is created on the device from a voice model included with the app. If that model is unavailable, the app uses Apple’s speech on the device instead. The app does not record the child’s voice. Lab notes are typed. If the child uses the microphone button on Apple’s keyboard, dictation is handled by Apple, and only the written note is saved in the app.
• There is no iCloud sync or automatic transfer between devices in the current app. Device backups are controlled by Apple and the device owner. Using Delete learning progress in Settings removes the child’s learning records and preferences; uninstalling removes the app’s local learning storage.

Children

The app is for children using it with a parent or guardian. Anyone under 18 needs that permission. Age, interests and practice settings are available directly in Settings. Deleting learning records asks for confirmation first. Changing age or interests does not erase history.

This website

These pages are static. The site script only opens and closes the menu. It does not track visitors and it does not send data to Maths Paw.

The site does not add a marketing analytics product. The hosting provider may receive ordinary connection information, such as your IP address, when serving a page. No marketing tracker is included in this website’s source.

An optional footer link opens Buy Me a Coffee in a new tab. Maths Paw does not send learning records with that link, and support there is not required. Once you leave this site, Buy Me a Coffee handles the visit under its own privacy policy.

The typefaces Nunito and Cookie are bundled with the site under the SIL Open Font Licence. See fonts/OFL.txt and fonts/Cookie-OFL.txt.
